What I Read In December:
The Jackal (Black Dagger Brotherhood: Prison Camp #1) by J.R. Ward – 3 STARS
I’ve been disappointed in the recent BDB books and I felt the same with this book. I’ve originally given it a 3 star but the more I think about it the more it feels like a 2 star read to me. I was a bit bored by the overall story and didn’t really care for the main couple or think they had much chemistry.
A Snowfall of Silver by Laura Wood – 5 STARS
I loved this book, it’s one of my favourites of the year. I loved the writing and the cosy winter feels it had. I really liked Freya and loved reading about her finding her place in the world.
Protecting Her Mate (The Nightstar Shifters #2) by Ariel Marie – 3 STARS
I thought this was an okay read but I think I liked the first book in this series slightly more than this one. I thought the couple had more chemistry in the first book, which is most likely true because Marley and Zara were best friends but in this book Robin and Heather meet for the first time and since it’s a short book the relationship doesn’t feel as developed as the first book. I also prefer the overall story of the first book too but like I said, this was still an okay read for me.
